Seaside Shadows Statement on COVID-19

UPDATE 05/14/2021

Following guidance from the CDC and the State of Connecticut, effective May 19th, 2021, with the re-opening of Connecticut all operations will resume without mandates for masks or social distancing for all outdoor walking tours and events. Masks will not be required for vaccinated individuals at indoor events or on the boat tours. Guests, may, of course, opt to wear masks or social distance. For the 2021 season, hand sanitizer will still be provided upon request. Please note, our Seaside Shadows team has all been fully vaccinated.

UPDATE 04/27/2021

New CDC and State Guidance has supported the safety of outdoor events in small groups as Seaside Shadows is defined. Therefore, effective May 1st, 2021, masks will be optional on our Seaside Shadows tours and social distancing will be encouraged though not mandated. Hand sanitizer will be available at all tours and for a limited time masks will still be provided if requested by visitors.

UPDATE 3/12/2021

Seaside Shadows will be re-opening for the 2021 season on Friday, March 12th, 2021. On Friday, March 19th, 2021, the Governor's re-opening for Outdoor Entertainment events expanded to allow us to give tours at our full capacity. At this time there is still a mask mandate and social distancing guideline we must abide by and will follow on our tours. Tours will operate following the current safety guidelines at our full schedule and full capacity.

UPDATE 06/10/2020

Seaside Shadows will be opening in the Phase 2 part of Connecticut's re-opening plan. Tours will be operating on a limited schedule this summer starting July 3rd, 2020 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only with private tours upon request. Tours will have limited capacity and all guests must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, a mask will be provided for you. Hand sanitizer will be available for all guests as they begin their tour and all tour guests must socially distance from other ghost walkers, keeping each party as close as possible to six-feet apart from one another.  Tour guides, as performers, do not have to wear a mask while conducting the tour but will be standing twelve-feet apart from guests and using voice amplifiers. Seaside Shadows is an outdoor activity and deemed safe for operations by the Ledge Light Health District and we are so thrilled to be ghost walking with you again. Seaside Shadows has self-certified with State of Connecticut and been approved for re-opening.
